How does your software (LoadLogicOS?) work with Raspberry Pi to control battery charging/discharging according to the spot market price of electricity?
What is the pricing model and on going fee's for this service.
Local Control:Â LoadLogicOS runs on a Raspberry Pi within your home network (LAN), acting as a local server that allows for direct control of your Sunspec-compliant battery and OCPP enabled EV charger. The Raspberry Pi can be purchased off the shelf from various retailers, as can the optional RS485 hat.
Modbus Communication:Â The Raspberry Pi communicates with your inverter via Modbus TCP (over your LAN) or Modbus RTU (using an RS485 hat for the Raspberry Pi). Modbus RTU offers a direct connection to the inverter through RS485.
Real-time Price Monitoring:Â Dusk Energy receives real-time electricity price data from the national electricity market (NEM).
Web App Control:Â Once configured, you can monitor and manage your energy system through our web application. This includes setting schedules based on NEM pricing for production and consumption.
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your question.
Here's a breakdown of the process:

The Raspberry Pi can be purchased off the shelf from various retailers, as can the optional RS485 hat.

Web App Control:Â Once configured, you can monitor and manage your energy system through our web application. This includes setting schedules based on NEM pricing for production and consumption.
We hope this helps.
